Young People Leading Change
Together with young people, we empower Uganda’s youth to claim their rights, protect their health and build a more just and resilient future. When young people are supported, they don’t just survive. They lead change in their communities.
WHO WE ARE
Alliance for youth and women’s health rights Initiative is a youth led organisation based in Uganda and legally registered as a company limited by guarantee under 80020002684446. We work with young people especially young women in and out of school, young parents and underserved communities to improve health, protect rights, advance climate action and expand economic opportunities.
AYOHRI was founded by a young mother who rebuilt her life after leaving school due to an unplanned pregnancy. Her journey shaped our mission: To ensure no young person faces these challenges alone.
We partner with Institutions, families and communities to deliver accurate information and education, peer support and mentorship, access to youth friendly services and practical skills for income and resilience. Our work focuses on sexual reproductive health rights, climate action, early childhood support and youth entrepreneurship.
Because when young people are supported, they do not survive, they grow, lead and create change in their communities
